Hector A. D’Auvergne

Mr. Hector A. D’Auvergne was appointed chief technology officer and chairman of the board of directors in 2008. Mr. D’Auvergne is a native of Santiago, Chile, becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1967. In South America he studied aviation and electrical engineering, obtaining both flight and electronic certification. Mr. D’Auvergne founded Dauvergne Brothers Industries (Dauvergne) in 1965 and has been working on the research of thorium-fueled reactors for more than 30 years. Mr. D’Auvergne is an accomplished project management professional who focuses on segmented project liability, project cost minimization and intellectual property protection.

Mr. D’Auvergne’s first patent, in the management of thorium as a nuclear fuel, goes back over 20 years. A prolific inventor, Mr. D’Auvergne holds 43 patents and /or patents in process, 23 directly related to the DBI Thorium Reactor program.

Mr. D’Auvergne pursued studies in industrial and electrical engineering at the University of California, Berkeley.
