DBI has planned for the construction and operation of a small-wattage demonstration plant that will provide the case history, scientific data, and other necessary support for the eventual construction of the first commercial application of the DBI Thorium Reactor program. The demonstration plant will provide vendors with the materials and metallurgy data necessary to offer independent guarantees of individual components. These guarantees will allow for the acquisition of an umbrella insurance policy—a requirement for construction of the first commercial plant. |
