For the first time in nuclear technology history, the DBI Thorium Reactor program employs peripheral neutron density control. This unique system eliminates the complexity of reactor design and allows for a reactor to fit into a two-story underground building. Compared to a conventional nuclear facility of comparable output, DBI reactors will be less than 1/10 the size. |
